The Chasm: Part 15: Questions 351-375

Hello! So once again we've come to another Thursday! Instead of posting it later tonight, I'll just post part 15 now! Enjoy! And if you have any suggestions for a name for the next ten parts (what I'm calling a chapter), please let me know! I'm having issues. Anyways, to the questions!

The 5000 Question Survey – Part 15 (351-375)

351. Have you ever lost something and never found it? Yes, it was my favorite stuffed animal growing up and something that I really treasured. Part of me thinks that my ex-step-sister or mother threw it out. It was my blue teddy. I still miss it and remember where all the soft spots are and everything. /tears up

352. Do you listen to any talk radio shows? The only talk radio show I listen to now a days is Sukira (Super Junior's Kiss the Radio). In Colorado time it's on at 7am, but in Korea it's from 10pm to midnight!

353. Who do you trust more, your friends or your parents? I would have to say my parents.

354. Would you ever date someone outside of your race or religion? Yes...I actually prefer people that aren't my race. As for religion, I don't really have one, but I'm not picky about other's religions, as long as they don't try to force me to become a "member."

355. Which of the 7 deadly sins in the worst (gluttony, greed, pride, lust, envy, wrath, sloth)? I think that greed is the worst. I don't know why, but greedy people bother the most.

356. Which one are you most guilty of? I would have to say probably envy. I'm not really sure there.

357. Are you afraid to be alone with yourself? Do you try to avoid thinking? OMG no. I love to have my alone time. I've even managed to be alone when around other people. I don't try to avoid thinking a lot, but there are definitely times when I just need to shut down.

358. Would you venture to tell someone you loved him or her if they didn't say it first? It's hard to say. I would like to think I would have the courage, but there's a good possibility that I wouldn't. The whole not wanting to get hurt issue...yeah.

359. What are you the most sensitive about? I think I'm the most sensitive about people not filtering or realizing that they are effecting or offending others. It bothers me when they offend me, but it bothers me more when they are offending someone else and don't know or understand it. I know that they can't help it (sometimes), but it's something that really bothers me.

360. What can you talk about for hours? Pretty much anything. Although, outside of class does anybody stay on the same topic for an hour? Even some classes get distracted.

361. Do you talk about yourself, other people, or ideas the most? I think I talk about ideas or other people the most. I don't really think I talk about myself a lot, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

362. Do you believe that spell casting can work? Yes!

363. Are you a fan of The Legend of Zelda games? Of course! Who isn't??

364. What old movie would you go see if it were re-released in the movie theaters? Hmmm...well, I'm pretty flexible when it comes to watching movies. Although, going to the movie theaters is really expensive. As for "old," I would have to say I would love to see some of the old musicals or the original Pink Panthers on the big screen!

365. Is there a celebrity that you would be too star-struck to talk to if you met them? I don't know if I'd be too start struck to start a conversation with them. Or at least be able to talk to them. Maybe Super Junior, but I think I'd greet them and attempt to converse with them.

366. Have you ever left a mean unsigned note? I've never left a mean note, although I don't really leave notes that often anyway.

367. Do you think it's cheesy to paste things you didn't write into your blog? Sometimes, but I think it depends on what it is. You should always give credit to the original author though.

368. What are three things that you try not to think about? Ummm...failing, snakes and bad memories from my past.

369. Is casual sex acceptable for you? For me no, but I won't judge or hate people that find it acceptable. It's just not for me.

370. What form of sexual protection do you use? A little personal, but I'm not sexually active now or have anyone I would really want to be sexually active with. Anyways, the answer right now is none, because there are no sexual acts happening.

371. What is expected of you that you feel is unnatural or not right? Right now, nothing that I can think of. I haven't really experienced anything that give me an unnatural feeling lately.

372. Do you sometimes place your own expectations on other people? I try no to, but there are times it happens.

373. Do you sometimes act overeager to make friends when you are around strangers? Ummm...not really. I tend to not be too social around people I don't know or aren't comfortable around.

374. Do you take everything that is said literally? I've been trying really hard on fixing this, but I kind of fail at sarcasm. I'm not as bad as Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory though.

375. Do you take most things others say seriously? I usually do, unless I can tell that they are joking. Even then, if it bothers me I tend to just play it off as a joke and hide my true feelings. I know, I'm a bottler.

I hope you enjoyed this part! Any questions or comments please don't hesitate to leave a comment or contact me! This post's gif is Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory!

The Chasm: Part 14: Questions 326-350

Happy Monday!! As promised, the next part of my 5000 Question Survey! Enjoy!!
The 5000 Question Survey – Part 14 (326-350)

326. Are you able to have conversations with and become friends with people who are not like you and are interested in different things than you are? Yes, I think so. Lately I've been thinking a lot about my different relationships, and I came to realize that most of my close friends I can learn from. When people have different interests, that leads to both learning about things they usually don't pay attention to. Plus, one of my small goals and motto is to learn at least one new thing everyday!

327. Are strangers more beautiful or frightening to you? I don't think that the entire mass of strangers is beautiful or frightening to me. More like awe inspiring. If I have to choose between the two, I'd have to say they'd come down more on the beautiful side of the spectrum.

328. What stops you from doing everything you want to do? Money.

329. Can you think of three adjective that do not apply to you at all? Ummm...off the top of my head, no. I can look up some random ones and let you know the first three that I feel don't describe me... The first three I found that don't really apply to me are filthy, prickly, and condemned.

330. How do you feel about Jeremy Jayne who got a nine year prison sentence for spamming people with junk email? Well, that seems a little extreme, but if there were viruses in it or other hacking programs, I would think differently.

331. Do you know who the current premier of China is? Nope.

332. Are you very active? Sometimes. It depends on the time of month and my mood.

333. Is there a city that reminds you of the landscape of your brain? Not a city, but a train system with the train cars replaced with mattresses.

334. Have you ever loved someone who has loved you back? Yes, most of them are family members.

335. Is it really being 'in love with' someone if the other person doesn't love you? I think so. I don't think it'd be right to say that "we" are in love, but people can be in love with a person without the other person even knowing they exist.

336. Do you believe that there is someone perfect for everyone or that people just fall in love with whoever they are with at the time? I think that there is a someone that is perfect for everyone depending on the time it is in their life. I'm not sure if that makes sense, but I think that there can be more than one "perfect" person for everyone. There isn't a lot, but it also depends on the situations both people are in to see if they are able to make things work out.

337. Do you know secret things? I do and I'm not telling! :P

338. Have you ever fallen in love with someone you shouldn't have? Ummm...nope. I don't think that I've actually fallen in love with someone.

339. How do you overcome your fears? Well, I'll let you know when I've been able to overcome one of them.

340. What can you do better than anyone you know? Listen. I can sit for hours listening to a person talk (or rant). Although, this usually leads to me being put on the spot or not knowing what I'm going to say when I'm just listening to people and not actually thinking of what my response is.

341. Would you benefit from a wilder existence? Sure, I'm sure I could learn a few things from a wilder existence.

342. Does it seem to you like the range of socially acceptable behavior is getting smaller or larger? It doesn't seem like the range of behavior is changing, but more along the lines of people not caring what others think.

343. Have you ever fired a gun? I have, multiple times. I've shot a few different rifles and made bullets with my Dad!

344. Are people becoming more afraid of each other? No, I don't think so.

345. If you had to choose the percentage of freedom vs. safety what ratio would you decide on (ex: 100% free 0% safe)? Unfortunately I don't really think that freedom and safety are exactly give and take. There are other factors that need to be considered. to answer the question though, I would go with a 60% free and 40% safe ratio.

346. Does safety stifle you? No, I don't think it does. There is such a thing as being overcautious and too safe though.

347. Who or what needs to be stopped? At a risk of sounding like a pageant girl, I'd say hate. Unfortunately, it's going to be really hard to stop hate. I think that what our world needs most is not peace, but understanding.

348. Are human beings becoming more domesticated? I don't think people can get any more domesticated.

349. Do you follow the lives of the British Royal Family? I don't. I'm not a resident of the UK or neighboring countries.

350. How did the death of Pope John Paul II affect you? Honestly, I didn't even know who he was when he passed. I'm not a catholic, so the only thing I knew was that he was the pope.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this round of questioning! Sorry I haven't said much outside of the questions, but I don't really have much to say! Part 14's gif is a LOLCat one! It's titled "I'm listening."

Until next time,

The Chasm: Part 13: Questions 301-325

Hello everyone!! So here is the promised part 13!! Technically it's not Thursday anymore (since I'm writing this at 12:30am), but It'll be up before most of you Western Hemisphere-ers wake up, so I'm saying it counts! XD Anyways, we are into the 300s now, so enjoy! Hopefully I won't take any more week breaks for a while!

The 5000 Question Survey – Part 13 (301-325)

301. List 5 things you have not experienced that you would like to experience before you die. I would like to go to a Super Junior concert, attend a recording of a Korean and Japanese variety show (this counts as two), go to an Arashi concert, and go to a JYJ concert!

302. Will you try to accomplish any of these things within the next year? Well, I will try to, but the only way I see that happening is if they suddenly decide to have concerts here in America! As for the variety shows, most likely not within the next year.

303. What do you feel controlled by? I feel controlled by my wants. There are so many things I would like to accomplish, but I'm having issues establishing the needs and what would actually be good for me in the long run.

304. If Jesus appeared to you and told you that the moon was made of green cheese would you believe him? Ummm...no. Considering we've landed on the moon and have rocks and other artifacts that prove otherwise. I do think that Jesus was a person, but I'm not really sure if I believe that he's the son of God or not.

305. What is one thing you are sure of? That I love my family and friends very much and would do pretty much anything for them.

306. At what part of the day do you feel the most alert? Hmmm...around 8am and 8pm. I don't know why, but 8 o'clock is just a good time for me!

307. Have you ever played in a band? Yes! I am a Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Drum Corps Alumni! XD

308. Have you ever stared into the ocean thinking 'early creatures crawled out of that?' Well, I've only been to the ocean twice, but I have never thought about that.

309. If not, what do you think of when you are staring into the ocean? The first time I went to the ocean, I didn't really stare at it. The second time was when I was in Japan, so I was just thinking about my time in Japan and about my friends and family back in the USA. It was just a time for me to think and reflect about a lot of different things going on.

310. Do you like the mental challenge of chess or other games? I do, but I'll be honest. I'm not very good at chess.

311. Do you ever think of where your atoms were before they were in you? Nope, I've never thought about it before now.

312. Do you ever think about where your atoms will go after they have been in you? Once again, I usually don't think about these kinds of things.

313. If you didn't know that people couldn't fly, would you think that you could? Maybe; It's hard to know for sure, but I think that's a fair possibility.

314. Are you someone that others call when they're having a problem and want to talk about it? Kind of. I like to be with someone when they are having issues, but I more give them silent support and wait for them to speak about it first. Nobody should try to coerce someone to talk about something if they aren't ready.

315. When it comes to literature, do you see beyond the writing and into the meaning intended by the author? Sometimes, when it's not too hard to see the meaning.

316. Is there anything you can take apart completely, and then put back together, and have no left over parts? Yeah, most of the time when I take something apart I pay close attention to make sure I put it back together right. I don't think I've ever had leftover parts before.

317. What are your feelings about the death penalty? I think that it should be in place, but there needs to be stronger requirements. I hear about cases where someone has been wrongly accused after they've already received and completed their sentence. It makes me sad, but I think the death penalty is there for a reason. Some people that do horrible crimes might be less inclined to commit them if they knew death was the penalty.

318. If there was a god and you could ask him/her one question what would it be? Hmmm...this is a hard one. Only one question...as I reminisce about Derek's sequel campaign... I think if I could only ask one question, I would ask: "Are things going as you planned?" It may not give me any answers, but if there really was a God, how could some of the things that have happened happen.

319. Do you believe that life will be found on other planets? I think that there is a real possibility we'll find life on other planets one day.

320. What is something worth suffering for? Love. Not thoughts, no hesitations. Love is something worth suffering for.

321. If you could put an extra eye on your body anywhere you wanted, where would you put it? I wouldn't want another eye. I'll just stick with the two I have now. Thanks!

322. Are you in touch with the earth and nature? I don't think I'm as in touch as a lot of people, but I like to think that everyone is in a small way.

323. Would you rather live simply or extravagantly? I think that living simply would suite me better, although sometimes I am jealous of those that live extravagantly.

324. Have you ever been camping? Yes. I feel like this is a stupid question considering I'm born and raised in Colorado, but I guess there are some Coloradans that haven't been camping.

325. Is your heart open when you meet someone new? I think that my heart is generally open. It's not as open as it used to be when I was younger, but it's been slowly opening again over the past few years.

I hope you enjoyed this set of 25 questions! I'll keep it short and simple, so the gif for this week is of the ocean, more specifically a wave!

Kpop Tag & Other Randomness

Hello everyone! So I'm sure you noticed that there were no posts last Thursday and Monday. I missed last Thursday's post, and things have been crazy so I decided to just take a week off. I'll be posting the next part later today. I just wanted to apologize and give you an extra little fun thing I found. One of my friends on AFF posted this. It's called "Kpop Tag" and so I just wanted to share a little bit about my Kpop fandoms. I did post this on AFF as well, but I figured I could post it here as well! Enjoy!

1. What was the first Kpop song that you've heard? I don't remember what song it was, but it was one of the songs off of Rain's album Rain's World. I looked it up, and all I can remember is that it was one of the songs in Korean. There are three of them, and I listened to them. I think the first one I heard was 내가 누웠던 침대. That's the one that has a MV, so I'm guessing that it was that one.

2. What was the first Kpop band you liked and still do?  Well, specifically Rain was the first I heard, but the question says band. The first Kpop band I listened to was Big Bang. I still like some of their songs. The first Big Bang song I heard was Last Farewell. It's still one of my favorite Big Bang songs. I have never considered myself a VIP though. I like them, just not that much.
3. Who was your first biased ever in the Kpop industry? Well, I would have to say it would be Rain. He was my first and plus I think he's really good looking!

4. What is your current favorite Kpop boy band? Well, I'm sure most of you already know this, but I am a proud ELF through and through! For those that don't know, ELF is Super Junior's fanclub name! It stands for EverLasting Friend.

5. What is your current favorite Kpop girl band? I love Brown Eyed Girls. They are my favorite girl group. Since they've been idle for a while though, I really came to like Miss A and f(x) as well! BEG are my number one though!

6. 3 current favorite Kpop song? Well, going off of my current three favorites, I would have to say the three I listen to the most right now are Super Junior's A-CHA, JYJ's Get Out, and Brown Eyed Girl's Sixth Sense.

7. All time Kpop song for you? It's hard for me to pick my number one favorite of all time, so I'll just go with the most played song on my iTunes. It's Super Junior's All My Heart. It has over 1200 plays. Just a side note, the second most played song only has a little more than 300 plays.

8. 5 current bias (girl band or boy band)? My top five biases. Well, I will have to say that most of them are Super Junior members, but I'll add a couple others to make it more fair! XD
  1. Leeteuk (Super Junior)
  2. Eunhyuk (Super Junior)
  3. Yesung (Super Junior)
  4. Jaejoong (JYJ from TVXQ)
  5. Narsha (Brown Eyed Girls)

9. Who would you like as a boyfriend/girlfriend in the kpop industry? Who would I like as a boyfriend? Ummm...that's hard. I have to say that Leeteuk is my bias, but I think that I would prefer Eunhyuk or Jaejoong as a boyfriend. As for girlfriend, I would go lesbian for BEG's Ga-in or Narsha. Just saying! XD

10. What comes to mind when you hear the word "KPOP"? Well, the first thought I have is Super Junior. What can I say, I'm an ELF (or EFL) through and through! XD

And now, TAG! You're it!

I hope you enjoyed this little Kpop questionnaire! If you want to fill it out do so and post it in the comments below so I can know what bands my readers listen to (if you listen to Kpop)! The gif I'll leave you with is from Super Junior - Happy's Cooking? Cooking! MV and is the song that brought me into the fandom. (It's not the first song of Super Junior's I heard, but the one that made me get crazy addicted!)

Until next time,

The Chasm: Part 12: Questions 276-300

Hello!! So I filled out the questions yesterday, but it was late at  night so I didn't get the chance to post it. I did fill it out on Monday though. Anyways, I'm not sure if you even care whether it's on Monday or Tuesday. Anyways, on to part 12! Enjoy!

The 5000 Question Survey – Part 12 (276-300)

276. Does fashion matter to you? Sort of. I want to preface this by saying, I am not a fashionable person. I have a things that I wear that can be considered fashionable, but not much. I attribute it to the fact that I don't have much money and I'm not really sure how to shop for my shape. I do enjoy fashion though. I am particularly fond of Asian fashion, more specifically Korean fashion. At the same time, I'm not Asian, most likely won't be able to pull it off, and have no idea where to start. I do enjoy watching America's Next Top Model though. Anyways, back to the original question, when it comes to myself, I like it and consider it, but it's not a top priority for me. On the other hand, I prefer guys that have more fashion sense than I do. Maybe it's because I'd like to think they'd give me tips. Oh well, whatever. So the point is, yes I do take notice, but it's not in the top three things I look at when I see people.

277. Should politicians be held to the same legal standards as everyone else? Yes.

278. What do you get in trouble for the most? Ummm...lying?

279. Should parents spank their kids? Yes. I'm talking a good old natured hand on butt spanking, not whips or chains or belts or whatever else should be kept in the bedroom and just for "fun." I am going to be a mother that spanks her kids. It did wonders for my younger siblings and I.

280. What is your worst daily habit? Ummm, my worst daily habit? Lately it's been going kitchen-zilla when my roommies leave. I kind of get possessive and strict in the kitchen. I should stop here though...

281. If you had your choice which one TV show would you have canceled? What one TV show should be canceled? Hmmm, well the only TV show that I know is still airing is The Simpson's. I'm sorry, but I'm really not a fan.

282. Do you like the taste of sweet or salt? Both! I love the combination, but of the two, I prefer salt more.

283. Are you very precise about what words you use to describe your feelings and thoughts? I try to be precise, but when I get excited or start ranting, the words and feeling come pouring out faster than I can think.

284. What do you feel the most guilty about? I don't know if guilty is the right word, but I'm still torn between if leaving my Dad's house was the right thing. I know that I'm a better person because of it, but my brother and sister...I'm supposed to protect them.

285. Do you meditate? I have a few times, but not regularly.

286. Can dreams be visions, or do you feel they are always random images? I think that they can be both. Not all dreams are visions. Last night I had a dream that the zombie apocalypse broke out when I was up at my Dad's house. They ended up going up the mountain and somehow (it's a dream so it didn't seem weird until I woke up) they ended up at the top of a small cliff that was smooth so I couldn't climb up it and they had to leave me. I certainly hope that it wasn't a vision...

287. Do you try to write/say what you are feeling in a true and simple way? I'm not sure if it's simple, but I do think that they are true.

288. The thief _______ that everyone steals. What verb would you fill in the blank with?

289. What's the most incredible experience you ever had? I would have to say my study abroad experience in Japan! I miss Japan and all the friends I made there so much!

290. Are you ever afraid to write/say/think how you feel? Sometimes, but when I do I try to word them so they aren't harsh to whomever I think would be offended.

291. Do you write/say/think it anyway or become intimidated and try to avoid it? Well I just answered it. I just tried to write it in a way that wouldn't be as blunt or harsh.

292. What is one thing you can't do? I can't whistle. It drives me nuts...

293. Do you like movies starring Charlton Heston? I haven't seen too many of his works, but the ones I did see I enjoyed!

294. Are you gentle? I think so.

295. When do you feel the most raw and vulnerable? When I'm alone and feel like everything is coming down around me.

296. Are you trying to find yourself? Somewhat, although I have learned a lot about myself in the past couple years.

297. Where are you looking? At the computer screen...?

298. Are you sometimes afraid of being honest because you are afraid of hurting people's feelings? Yes. If it's something that isn't that important to me, then I won't share my thoughts, but if I do share them I try to not be blunt or harsh.

299. What would make you a stronger person? I think that having someone I can depend on as much as other people depend on me. That sounds good, but honestly, I don't think I'd realize something that makes me stronger until I was already stronger and moving past that level. I hope that makes sense...

300. What book would you like to read sometime soon? I have a lot of books that I would like to read (my bookshelf at my place only has books I need to read). I think the next book on my list is book seven of Michele Bardsley's Paranormal series. The name escapes me, but I remember that this one is focusing on one of the Lycanthrope princes! (The last two books were about a were-dragon and a were-jaguar! They were awesome! I want to be a were-dragon now!)

I hope you enjoyed these questions! I hope you are enjoying more about me! I'm sure learning about myself and some of my points of views. I've been enjoying myself! This week's gif is the wonderful and magnificent Tyra Banks!

The Chasm: Part 11: Questions 251-275

Hello! Once again it's Thursday! Time for part 11! I also have decided on the title for "chapter 2!" I was going through the thesaurus, and came across Chasm. Not 100% sure it's what I was going for, but it's the best I've found. If you have any suggestions, please let me know! I still have quite a few "chapters." Anyways, onto today's 25 questions the start of "The Chasm!"
The 5000 Question Survey – Part 11 (251-275)

251. Do you blow your nose in public? I have, but if I'm in a very crowded place, I will try to find an area away if I can't make it to the bathroom.

252. Do you want to follow in your parent's footsteps? I love my parent's but I don't really want to follow in their footsteps. I want to create my own life.

253. What is the coolest web site you know of? Ummm...this blog! XD Just kidding, I'm not really like that. I would have to say that my current favorite website is either Sapphire Pearls or SJ-World! Yes, they both deal with Super Junior. SJ-World is an international forum (my favorite forum) and Sapphire Pearls is a blog that updates Super Junior pictures and news! I also love Twitter, but I use the app and not really the website!

254. Which cartoon would you most like to see turned into a movie? I'm not sure how it would work out, but I would love to see something like Angry Beavers in movie form! Wait, it just said movie. It doesn't have to be live action then. Definitely Angry Beavers!

255. Of the following, which word best describes you: enthusiastic, fair minded, generous, or helpful. Of the four words, I would say that the one that describes me best is generous. I have many nicknames relating to "mother" and I tend to give too much of myself to people. I've become a lot more aware of it lately, but it's really hard to resist the urges to take of the people around me.

256. Can you eat with chopsticks? Of course I can! And I'm teaching one of my roommies how to use them too!

257. Could you tell real money from counterfeit? Unless it was plastic fake money, most likely not.

258. What do you think about school uniforms? I always wanted to wear one, but that's because we didn't have them.

259. What ancient civilization would you most like to visit? I would love to visit Ancient Japan. I'm not sure what time period I would want, but I would love to visit the many different parts throughout their history!

260. What would make a great new Crayola color? A medium grey color. I'd call it rain cloud!

261. If an art project is created with the intent of getting rich and famous, does that cast doubt over its significance as a work of art? I don't think it would cast doubt as a work of art, but I can see how it can place doubt on the artist itself.

262. If you became president, whom would you invite to sing at your inauguration? If I became president, Super Junior! XD

263. Who is the greatest philosopher of your country? The greatest philosopher of American? Let me go Google for a bit...okay I'm back! So, I couldn't think of any off the top of my head, but in scanning the wiki page on American Philosophy, I can across Henry David Thoreau. I don't know too much of him, but I've like all of his works that I've read for various classes. I don't know if he's the greatest, but I enjoy him.

264. If all the nations in the world are in debt, where did all the money go? Down the drain? A.k.a. to the ocean?

265. Is it as easy to make you happy now as it was when you were a child? I think it's easier to make me happy now than as a child. A lot of things were happening when I was a child, like my parents divorce and such, but I think that now I can process and handle situations better. That leads to me living a happier life.

266. Who knows more, you or your parents? I would like to think that I know myself more than my parents. I'm still a rather private person and internalize a lot of things.

271. Which is more romantic: an expensive, glittering bouquet OR flowers that were handpicked as they grew beside the parkway? I would find handpicked flowers more romantic. Honestly though, getting any kind of flowers is romantic!

273. Which do you do more often: let movies, songs, and books put your feelings into words for you or put your feelings into words by yourself? I would have to say I would do less of putting my feelings into words myself. I just don't feel like I'm creative enough.

274. Do you believe celebrities when they are endorsing a product? Most of the time, no.

275. What kind of movies do you wish were made more often? I wish that really good comedies were made more often. I'm talking the slapstick comedies from the 60s and early 70s like What's Up Doc? and the Pink Panther series.
