Hello Readers!!

I'm sorry I've neglected this blog, but things have been pretty busy since Thanksgiving due to the holiday season and end of the semester. Things are still pretty busy and crazy with Christmas coming up this week, so I just wanted to apologize. also, this blog will be on hiatus (and has been) until after New Year's. Things will just be busy, and I'll want to spend my free time with my little sister, who's back in state on break from college! Since I won't see you until then, I hope your Christmas is wonderful and that you ring in the New Year spectacularly! I'll leave you with a special, bonus gif!

The Chasm: Part 20: Questions 476-500

Hello! It's once again Monday and time for another series of questions! This time, we are at part 20, which means it's the end of this chapter! I'm still not sure what to name the next chapter, but I still have until Thursday to figure that out. Anyways, I hope you find these interesting as well!

The 5000 Question Survey – Part 20 (476-500)

476. Are you sloppy or a neat freak? I don't think I'm 100% a neat freak, but I try to keep things nice and organized. Maybe like 70% or something.

477. Would you rather have a trunk full of nickels or half a trunk full of dimes? I'd rather have dimes, they're smaller, so it would be lighter to lug around! XD

478. What is the worst mistake you've ever made? Ummm...I think it was trusting too much in someone I considered a friend. I don't regret becoming her friend, but I do regret revealing so much of myself to her and depending on her too much despite warnings from my other friends.

479. Are you in a good mood? Yup yup! I'm a little tired, but I think generally in a good mood.

480. Are you patriotic? Let's play fact or crap. Is it a fact? Or is it crap? Am I patriotic, fact, but by no means is it as much as I probably should be, or that others are.

481. The greenhouse effect is bad for your health. Ummm...crap?

482. There are about as many molecules of air in one breathe as there are hairs on your head. I'm going to say fact.

483. The Miss America pageant started out as a contest in which people decorated wheel chairs and one chair was judged the prettiest. Part of me hopes it's fact, but I'm not really sure and I feel like the answer is crap.

484. To remove a tattoo a physician can place a small balloon under the skin, which is inflated so that the tattooed skin gradually stretches. Then they cut the stretched skin away. I don't know how well it would work, but sure, fact.

485. Cock fighting is a sexual sport. Crap, unless you find chickens fighting each other sexually stimulating. I'm sure there's someone somewhere that does.

486. It is the warmest time of the day during the hour that the sun is the highest in the sky. I've heard this before, so I'm going to say fact.

487. Certain scientists specialize in studying cow farts. It wouldn't surprise me if there was; fact.

488. The brilliant colors (reds, oranges, yellows) across the sky that we get from sunsets are caused mainly by pollution. Well I thought that rainbows are the reflection of light through water molecules. Considering I've seen the same colors through a crystal, I'm going to go with crap.

489. In Grimm's original fairy tale, Rapunzel is pregnant. Ummm...I actually don't know. Sure, fact.

490. Dracula was the first movie about a vampire. Crap, Dracula wasn't the first vampire story.

491. The inventors of Corn Flakes, the Kellogg brothers, ran a school for delinquent youth. Sure, fact, but I don't really know. I do know that corn flakes were invented to help curb sexual desire.

492. "Kemo Sabe" means "soggy shrub" in Navajo. Ummm...I'm going to go with crap on this one.

493. Sir Thomas Crapper invented the toilet. I don't think so, crap.

494. The Earl of Sandwich invented the Sandwich. Ummm...is this another trick one? I'm going to go with crap again.

495. Some Chinese alchemists were trying to invent an immortality medicine and accidentally invented gunpowder instead. That sounds plausible, fact.

496. The human body is made of about 99% water. I don't think it's 99%, I thought it was more like 70-80ish; crap.

497. Bubble gum contains rubber. Fact.

498 This survey to the zero power = 0. Fact, anything to the zero power is zero (if I remember correctly).

499. Most lipstick contains fish scales. I have heard that before, fact.

500. There are 86401 seconds in day. Let me do the math real quick...crap. The correct answer is 86400. Psh...

Well, this set was a little weird because there were all these fact or crap things. I don't really think that can count as a question, maybe just the first one. Whatever, I didn't make it, so I'll just play along. Anyways, I hope it wasn't as boring reading it as it was for me answering. As for today's gif, it's kind of just random since it was a weird section. I bring you the cuteness of a T-rex, I think from Meet the Robinsons or something like that. Anyways, I like dinosaurs!

The Chasm: Part 19: Questions 451-475

Hello again! So I'm  posting this earlier than I usually do on Thursdays, but I figured I might as well do it as I have time now! I can't believe I'm already on Part 18! O_O That means that we'll have a new chapter here starting soon, as we reach 500 questions! Enjoy!

The 5000 Question Survey – Part 19 (451-475)

451. What do you do for fun? Well, there's a lot of things I do for fun, but it mostly I read, watch movies or hang out and chat with my friends and roommates. I do other things too, but those are the ones that happen most often.

452. Would you rather have a strict teacher with a sense of humor or a lenient teacher that doesn't teach? I would rather have a teacher that has a sense of humor. Generally, I've always been a good student, so when a teacher is strict it doesn't really both me.

453. If you ever have a baby what might you want to name it? I don't know. I do know that I would like to marry someone from a different culture though, so they'll probably end up with two names.

454. If you won free tickets to a concert from a radio show and had to choose between Inxs, Poison, Blondie and Moby, who would you choose? Between those four? Well, I think I would go with Moby.

455. Are you a good cook? I think I can make things taste good enough for other people to enjoy. As for being "good," I don't think I'm that good in the kitchen.

456. Do you prefer when things come with no assembly required, even if they are a bit more expensive? It depends on what it is, and how busy I am at the time of requirement. Generally though, I don't mind paying a little more for things to come pre-assembled. Although, I do enjoy  putting things together too.

457. Start a sentence with the words what if. What if all of our greatest dreams came true?

458. Are you more spontaneous and unpredictable or loyal and routine? I think I am definitely more routine, as for loyal, I try to be.

459. What is the highest number you can count to in your head? Ummm...let me see, well I got to 245 and decided to give up. I could've gone longer, but I'm wasting precious time just sitting her counting in my head. I think I can go up until I don't know the number names anymore.

460. How do you go about losing time? Well, counting to big numbers in my head?

461. Do you have street smarts? I think I have a little bit of street smarts. Just enough to get by.

462. Do you have a lot of common sense? I don't know if I have a lot, but I think I have at least the average amount a person my age should have.

463. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Either green tea or vanilla.

464. What's your favorite movie that involves dancing? Save the Last Dance! Although I do love the dance scenes with Harry Shum, Jr. in Step Up 2 and 3!

465. Would you ever want to become a guest on a talk show? If yes what would the show's theme be? Yes, I think it would be fun. I don't know what the theme would be, I think I could come on for a few different reasons!

466. Do you like the way you look naked? Does anyone like the way they look naked?

467. Have you ever dissected an animal? Yup! A frog.

468. Who do you know who is brilliant? I think that most of my friends are brilliant, especially when you put them in their element!

469. Who do you know who is dull? I don't think I know anyone that's dull. I think the dullest person I know would probably be my brother, but he's not that dull.

470. Do you ever think about time travel? Every once in a while, but it's not really something I think about a lot.

471. What is one interesting fact you know? Hmmm...well I'm not sure if you find this interesting, but the line "He looks like he should be in a boy band." from the movie Ninja Assassin is a joke because the guy who plays the main character Rain used to be in a boy band, but if failed so he trained under JYP and became a solo artist! It makes me chuckle every time! XD

472. Do you talk to yourself? Do you talk to your pets? Yes, on both accounts.

473. Do you believe that humankind has a future in space? I think so.

474. Would you rather wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or more delicate outfits? Definitely clothes that I don't mind getting dirty. No matter how hard I try, something always gets dirty.

475. How do you 'live life to the fullest'? I just try to live without regrets.

Well, I hope you enjoyed reading my answers again! Once again, if you have any ideas for names of new chapters, let me know! I'm still trying to think of a good one. As always, I'll leave you with a gif. Today I bring you a gif from the behind the scene videos of Ninja Assassin and cuteness of Rain!

The Chasm: Part 18: Questions 426-450

Hello! I'm sorry that I didn't post part 18 yesterday. For those that follow me on Twitter, you probably heard/read a lot of my tweets complaining about being tired and that I'll post it today instead. And here I am, posting as promised! For those that don't know, I had a really bad night's sleep on Sunday night, so I only ended up with like an hour of sleep, only to have to be up and doing things from 6:30am to 11pm. Suffice to say, I slept almost 12 hours last night so I'm feeling a lot better. Anyways, I'll get on with Part 18! Enjoy!

The 5000 Question Survey – Part 18 (426-450)

426. Do you own a record player? Do you use it? I do not own a record player, but have always wanted to play with and listen to one!

427. How easily do you make friends? I think when I am actually in public situations (like class) I make friends pretty easily, but I just don't spend a lot of time in places where I can make friends. I hope that makes sense. I am the kind of person that prefers a few close friends than a lot of friends that I'm not that close too.

428. What is the difference between having character and being a character? I think having character means that a person has special tendencies or characteristics that make them special and different than most people. A character to me is someone that is putting on a facade and aren't showing people their true self.

429. Are there any animals you flat out refuse to touch? I refuse to go near snakes. I can't even handle seeing them in pictures or movies, or even thinking about them.

430. Do you care about your weight? Yes, but not as much as other people.

431. Did you/will you go to the prom? I went to both my junior and senior proms! They were a blast!

432. Have you ever wanted to date twins? Hmmm...not really. It would be interesting and I wouldn't turn someone down because they were a twin, but I've never thought about those twin fantasies and such.

433. What one thing would you change about high school if you could? I think the judging and acceptance that people go through. I always heard that high school was the best years of a person's life, but I don't think that's true in the slightest. For some people maybe, but high schoolers are through so much pressure and at a weird transition in life. I think it's better once they hit their later years in college and twenties because a person is out in the world and able to meet and find people that accept them for who they are.

434. If you came with a warning label, what would it say? Warning: May burst out in laughs spontaneously.

435. Are you artistic and creative? Well, considering that most of my friends are artists in one type or another, nope. Although, I have met people who have absolutely no creativity. I at least have a little bit.

436. What were you doing on this date last year? Well, I was most likely working. Tuesday nights have been work nights since my sophomore year of college.

437. What are you obsessed with? Well, first off Super Junior and Arashi! Although, to be honest I like most Kpop and Jpop, well just music. I am obsessed with music and the East Asian countries!

438. What was the last compliment you received? Ummm...from some random person: "I love your necklace! I love turtles!"

439. Do you have any brothers or sisters? Yup yup! I have a younger brother and sister. I also have two step-brothers, one younger and one a few months older.

440. Who would you like to be alone with right now? Ummm...myself? Well if I had to choose, I don't know who it would be, but I would like it be someone I could talk to about anything and be able to learn things from.

441. Do you push people away when you really want them to come closer? I don't think so...

442. Is a prenuptial agreement necessary or does it take the romance and trust out of marriage? I can understand why some people get them, especially with the divorce rate rising. If my significant other wanted me to sign one I wouldn't necessarily be opposed, but I'm not going to suggest it from my point.

443. Do you lie your way out of things? I have and don't it a lot when I was younger, but I try not to lie now. It's been a while since I've lied.

444. Are you better at talking or listening? Most definitely listening.

445. What will only happen to you once in this lifetime? Turning an age. I mean your birthday only comes once a year, and then you only turn that age once.

446. Know of any conspiracy theories you think might be credible? I don't know if Area 51 is specifically true or real, but I do think that there are hidden areas the government controls. They don't necessarily have to hold "alien secrets" though.

447. What are the most beautiful words that have ever been spoken to you? Well, that's a tough one. I honestly can't remember the specific words that people told, but I do remember feeling in awe during conversations with people. The most memorable being with my Grandmother and Grandfather.

448. If it were legal would you own a human slave? Nope, I'd rather have a B-1 Battle Droid!

449. Have you ever read your own writing at a poetry reading? Nope, never been to poetry reading. I used to write poetry, but it was in elementary school.

450. What is one simple thing that gives you the happy shivers? When I hear the beautiful voice of Yesung or Frank Sinatra. Also, when listening to drum corps live, especially Phantom Regiment's. There are some beautiful arrangements that can bring you to tears when you have 100+ people playing their hearts out a few yards in front of you.

Well, that the end of part 18! We're almost to the next chapter. Once again, please help out! I need ideas on future chapter names. Not quite sure what to have after The Beginning and The Chasm. So, for tonight's gif I tried to find one that had a B-1 battle droid from Star Wars. They're my favorite droid, but alas I couldn't find one. For those that don't know what they are, click here! So, upon my disappointment, I've decided to bring you a gif of my favorite Drum Corps, Phantom Regiment. The gif is the ending from their 2009 show "Spartacus." I'd also like to mention that this show brought them 1st place in the World Championships!

The Chasm: Part 17: Questions 401-425

Hello!! It's once again Thursday, and time for Part 17!! I can't believe I've already answered 400 questions! I hope I'm not boring you all, but I'm having fun filling it out! XD

The 5000 Question Survey – Part 17 (401-425)

401. Some say that high school is the best time of your life. Was that true for you? I don't think so. I think for a lot of people, high school is not the best time. Teens are so judgemental that it's hard for most high schoolers to find acceptance.

402. What do you find yourself encouraging others to try? Achieve their dreams and goals. If someone tells me they want to do something, I'll pretty much encourage them to reach for it!

403. Who is better: Mel Brooks or Woody Allen? I prefer Mel Brooks a lot more, but Woody Allen has a couple good films.

404. When was the last time you were up all night? Ummm...I don't think I've actually done an all-nighter. I've gotten close, but usually about 2 or 3am I cave and have to at least get a couple hours of sleep.

405. ______ is life. The rest is just details. Fill in the blank. Happiness. I don't really know what to put here, but I think that when I die, I just want to feel happy. I don't want to feel happy because I'm dying, but if I think about many good things that would happen, then I'll be okay for whatever comes next.

406. Are people too complex and different to be categorized? Most definitely. I saw this a lot with stereotypes and people's perceptions when I was in Japan.

407. Is it good to have pride in your own race or does that separate people from each other because it makes them think of everyone else as “outsiders?” Well, I think it's fine for other people to have pride, but at the same time it does bother some people. Personally, I don't really think about race as a factor. I'm not proud of white people or the things they accomplish. I feel happy for someone whenever they accomplish something, no matter their race, gender, sexuality, or religion.

408. What fictional story would you like to live through? Well, growing up I wanted to be the little mermaid. As of now, having a read and seen a lot more things than my five year old self, I would love to be apart of the world of Michelle Bardsley's Broken Heart City novel series. I would love to be a werejaguar or a crazy cool vampire with awesome special abilities. It would also be neat to be apart of JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood. Hmmm...I guess most of the stories I want to join in have vampires or other supernatural elements. Go figure! XD

409. Are cats or dogs smarter? I think that there are generally more smarter cats. Let's be honest, I've met a lot more stupid dogs than stupid cats. Actually, I think I've only met one stupid cat, but I've met multiple stupid dogs. I love them both. Then again, this could just be bias of cats speaking...

410. Have you ever guessed somebody's password and broken into their diary? Nope, never really had the urge to break into anybody's private writings. Even if they were to give it to me I would hesitate to read it.

411. What teacher, if any, has affected you the most in your life? I think the teacher that affected me the most was Mr. Johnson. I actually met him in middle school, but I didn't take his class until high school. He was the band teacher my freshman and sophomore years! I still send him a Christmas Card every holiday season!

412. Are you more easily bored or excited? It is extremely easy to entertain me! I think I get bored easily, but it doesn't last long because I can usually find something to waste the time! XD

413. What's the bravest or most daring thing you have ever done? I would have to say the steps I took to study abroad in Japan. I was nervous and a little scared. Especially when I had to go through all that paperwork. Plus the first steps on the airplanes by myself and initial time in Japan was nerve wrecking, but also very exhilarating.

414. "What's the point of robbery when nothing is worth taking?" (- Adam Ant) I think that some people rob to "live," and others do for the sake of robbing.

415. If your man or woman served you breakfast in bed as a treat what would you want? Hmmm...well I'd be pretty much up for anything. Something delicious though!

416. What do you do only when you are upset? Ummm, cry. I don't really cry when I'm not upset. I don't always cry when I'm upset though, just when things bottle up and I need to empty the proverbial bottle.

417. What's the oddest CD in your collection? Well, to most other Americans, I think they would choose the Japanese and Korean CDs I have. For people that know me, I don't think that any of them would be odd since most people know I can pretty much listen to and  like everything. For those that know me but not that well, I would say some of rap or heavy metal CDs I own.

418. What's the best blog name you ever saw? Ummm...well I can't really recall any blog names or lj names that really stuck out to me. The one that I get excited to onto the most is TVXQCAPSLOCK though! XD

419. What would your friends be surprised to learn about you? Ummm...probably a lot of my inner dialogues. Since I'm more of a listener, they probably don't know my actually feelings about a lot of different situations.

420. Who owes you an apology? There are only two people that I would like an apology from, but I don't think I'll ever get. I doubt I'll ever see them again, and part of me hopes not.

421. Who deserves an apology from you? I'm sure there's someone that needs an apology from me, but I don't know who it be. Obviously if I knew I probably would've already apologized.

422. How would you like to treat your kids differently from the way your parents treated you? Well, this isn't really about the way they treated me, but I don't want to get a divorce. When my parents got divorced it completely changed our family dynamic. I understand that it was better for my parents to get divorced than to stay in that harmful relationship, but I really don't want to get a divorce. It's so painful.

423. Which do you like best: 60's, 70's or 80's fashion? Of the three, I'd have to say probably 80's. I'm not even really a big fan of 80's fashion. In all actuality, I would prefer the fashion of the 20's and 30's! XD

424. What is the worst pick up line ever used on you? I honestly don't think I've ever been given a pick up line. If I have it was so horrible I either thought they were joking or didn't even realize they were trying to hit on me.

425. Of the following, which word best describes you: inventive, kinetic (energetic), light-hearted, or mature. Of the four words, I would say that I would be light-hearted the most. Looking up the definition, one says "cheerfully optimistic and hopeful: easygoing, happy-go-lucky." I don't think I'm like that all the time, but I think more than the other three.

Well, that is for the latest 25 questions. Once again, I need help coming up with chapter ideas. If you're reading this, please help me out. I only have three more posts after this to come up with a new name. UGH! Anyways, I'll leave you with a gif as usual! Tonight I bring you a gif of Arashi. It's from a performance of their song "Happiness" and also one of my favorite lines of the song! Sing-a-long: "Hashiri dase hashiri dase, asu wo mukae ni yukou!" Translated that line means "Start running, start running, let’s go and welcome tomorrow!"
